THE CAPITAL HOUSING POLICY DEPARTMENT EXECUTES THE FOLLOWING MAIN FUNCTIONS:

1. According to the government’s housing policy, Ulaanbaatar city’s general development plan, partial general plan of residential areas, organizing work to increase the supply of housing within the framework of redevelopment;
2. Re-planning and construction of the capital’s housing estates, construction of housing estates provided with social and engineering infrastructure, increasing access to engineering infrastructure;
3. Increasing the supply of housing with innovative renewable energy technology, environmentally friendly, and compatible with rental income and income;
4. Reorganization of the capital’s housing estates, creation of infrastructure to provide independent and partial engineering supplies;
5. To increase access to housing in the capital, to organize and supervise projects and programs aimed at target groups of citizens within the framework of national and capital budgets, foreign loans and aid in accordance with the unified housing policy;
6. Making a conclusion about whether violations have been committed during the implementation of the project of re-planning, construction and reorganization of cities and settlements within the framework of laws and regulations;
7. Make a conclusion within the framework of laws and regulations on whether the area selected for the re-planning and construction and reorganization of cities and settlements has been used for other purposes;
8. Selection of project implementers and monitoring of project activities according to partial master plan and task of re-planning and construction of cities and settlements;
9. Within the framework of the project of re-planning and construction of cities and towns, organize the conclusion of tripartite agreements with the Governor of the Capital, land and immovable property owners and legal entities implementing the project, and monitor the implementation of the tripartite agreements.
