A pre-feasibility study for a new ring road is underway

The feasibility study for the First Ring Road is underway as part of the city’s 24 mega projects for urban development. The study is part of the city’s 24 mega projects for urban development. The preliminary plan is to build a new ring road that will be over 50 kilometers long and have four to six lanes, with a first and second ring roads.

“CSCC Icom Consultants” LLC was chosen as the contractor to provide feasibility studies, design development, and consulting services for the project, following the announcement of a tender.

Presently, the New Ring Road’s basic survey, engineering and geological surveys, baseline maps, current road conditions, city development master plan, integrated environmental assessment, and engineering network studies are in progress. The Tuul Highway will be connected to the New Ring Road on the west side.

Bayanzurkh Bridge and Tuv aimag will be linked to each other through a tunnel on the east side. The feasibility study for the New Ring Road will be concluded and discussed by relevant professional councils in June. The project’s implementation will result in a 23.3 percent increase in average traffic speed.
